Living Fidia

Il viaggio di Fidia continua nello spazio living. Il mio obiettivo? Ottimizzare i materiali e dare nuova vita a ciò che altri potrebbero trascurare.

Lavorare con blocchi di pietra naturale genera inevitabilmente ritagli. Sono frammenti che molti vedrebbero come scarti, ma per me sono avanzi in attesa di una nuova storia.

Forse è il mio rispetto per l’artigianalità e la tradizione, ma non butto materiali che hanno ancora valore. Li conservo, lasciando che tempo e ispirazione mi suggeriscano come reinventarli.

Con i tavoli Fidia, questi elementi trovano un nuovo ruolo. Il design riprende la geometria della vasca modulare Fidia, trasformandone il dettaglio angolare nella sezione delle gambe. Ora sostengono tavolini e console dalle forme, dimensioni e materiali diversi.

Questa collezione è più di una ricerca formale: è un modo di pensare. Da sempre, Fidia si basa sulla scomposizione e ricomposizione della pietra, ma qui vado oltre. Unendo blocchi diversi—e talvolta materiali differenti—creo pezzi scultorei, espressivi e liberi da schemi rigidi. L’unica guida? La bellezza autentica della materia.

The journey of Fidia continues in the living space. My goal? To optimize materials and give new life to what others might overlook. Working with natural stone blocks inevitably generates offcuts. These are fragments that many would see as waste, but for me, they are remnants waiting for a new story. Perhaps it’s my respect for craftsmanship and tradition, but I don’t throw away materials that still have value. I preserve them, letting time and inspiration suggest how to reinvent them. With Fidia tables, these elements find a new role. The design takes up the geometry of the Fidia modular bathtub, transforming the angular detail into the leg section. Now they support coffee tables and consoles of different shapes, sizes, and materials. This collection is more than a formal research: it’s a way of thinking. Fidia has always been based on the decomposition and recomposition of stone, but here I go further. By combining different blocks—and sometimes different materials—I create sculptural, expressive pieces free from rigid schemes. The only guide? The authentic beauty of the material. Fidia Living is the meeting between design and intuition, where rediscovered beauty finds its meaning. Fidia is desigend for Vaselli
